16th, 17th and 18th Century Ship Blueprints

Okay so I had to really dig to find blueprints for a lot of 18th and 17th century ships. I compiled all of what I found into an archive. I thought I would share them directly, to save some folks long hours of hunting blueprints. These are scans mostly from model kit instructions I do believe…they are also very high resolution.

These are great but i was wondering if you have (or can create) some blueprints that would make it easy for me to create a model in 3ds max. For example any sort of ship having a top, back, front, and left/right view of equal lengths. I have not been able to find any at all i was sort of hoping to practice my 3ds max skills with a complicated ship. Either way thanks 🙂

Any books you could recommend on 18th century ships in general?

Looking for a French Sailing ship by the name of, Saint Jacques that sailed from France to Kebec, New France in 1635. Would love to see what that vessel looked like.
